Judaism is one of the world’s oldest monotheistic religions, tracing its origins to the covenant between God (Yahweh) and the patriarch Abraham approximately four thousand years ago. It is both a religion and a cultural identity the story of the Jewish people is inseparable from their faith.
The foundational text of Judaism is the Torah the first five books of the Hebrew Bible believed to have been revealed by God to Moses on Mount Sinai. The broader Tanakh (Hebrew Bible) contains the prophets and sacred writings, while the Talmud is a vast compendium of rabbinic interpretation and legal discussion that guides Jewish life in practice.
Jewish belief centers on the oneness and indivisibility of God, the chosenness of the Jewish people to uphold God’s commandments (mitzvot), and the hope for a messianic age of peace and justice. Religious practice is structured around the Sabbath, holy days such as Rosh Hashanah, Yom Kippur, and Passover, and a complex system of ethical and ritual law.
Judaism encompasses diverse movements Orthodox, Conservative, Reform, and Reconstructionist, among others each interpreting tradition differently. Today, roughly 15 million Jews live around the world, with large populations in Israel and the United States.

I don’t agree at all with what is happening in the Middle East, or the leadership of the current Israeli government but I don’t think it’s okay that we as a society we are blaming the Jews as a whole for everything that’s going wrong in the world. It reminds me of 2011 when there was terrorist attacks in Paris and people would call me a 11 year old girl a terrorist in my school just cause I was Arab. I think we need to come together as a society to find solutions to the problems we have and not blame an entire race for the actions of powerful people. I have a Jew friend of mine that she was told she was gonna die crucified and burned alive cause her “people” killed Jesus and just that’s just wrong. Things need to change and we all need to do better and be better towards each other. I’m the first one to be aggressive and cruel when someone provokes me but hey in my defense I never start fights but I will sure as well finish them. So this is my controversial opinion. Zionism doesn’t equal every single Jew. Antisemitism is dead wrong and we need to do better for our Jews friends, cause not all of them deserve this. This is just wrong.
